Our team is so excited to be at the Johnson County Home + Garden Show for the second year in a row! Visit our booth this weekend and enter to win $250 Giveaway!

Dreaming of getting started on your Garden but this cold weather has you stuck inside? Here are fun and creative winter garden ideas you can do now!

Create a Winter Planter

Plant Dwarf Conifers and create a miniature winter forest that you can enjoy all year round. Evergreens are a must this time of year, their beautiful color pops against white winter. Dwarf varieties of these lovely plants, placed in pots on a outdoor table or in a window pot, can bring life to your home during gloomy winter months.

Grow fruits and veggies indoors!

You can grow dwarf avocados, carrots, lemons, peppers, beets, tomatoes and much more indoors! Some plants such as the avocadoes and lemons will take some extra TLC but its great way to keep your gardening juices flowing in the winter months. You may even save money while you are at it.

When all else fails, feed the birds!

Seeking food is the main activity for wild birds. Help them out this winter with creative winter feeders.  It is important to provide food for birds in the harsh winter months because natural food sources like fruits and insects are scarce. The food we provide may be the only source of nutrition for them in the area. Great food choices would be suet, peanuts and sunflower seeds.
